Outfitting & CONSULTING

Like buying a new car or house - purchasing and rigging your own raft can be a nerve-racking experience. What length boat do I need to get my family floating on the Rogue? Are those square topped oars really worth it? Who do I reach out to get a frame welded and a groover that won’t break the bank?

Wild and Scenic Supply is here answer all those questions and help you get on your way to a great river running experience with your family and friends. As passionate and professional boaters we understand through our own trials and testing what goes into designing the perfect river rig. We bring a combined fifty years of experience gained through whitewater guiding and outdoor education at the nation’s top school.

We think of your ourselves as “river advisors”, not salesman. We aim to provide you with low stress consulting and sales assistance. We want you to get the right equipment, not all of the equipment.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

  1. CONTACT US: We will then schedule a meeting either in person or virtually. It’s just the beginning!

  2. ASSESS & PLAN: After our consultation we will develop an initial equipment plan for your reviews based on your stated needs and preferences. The hard part.

  3. REFINE: We will then refine the plan based on your feedback and overall budget considerations. You’re almost there!

  4. DELIVER: We take care of the details, purchase orders, and you get a carefully customized raft!

  5. RAFT: Now get on the River!

STEWART CHUMBLEY

“Stew” discovered his love of paddling on the lakes and rivers of northern Wisconsin. As a teenager he ventured further north to remote areas of the Canadian wilderness on guided adventures.

He began his career in outdoor education and wilderness tripping at Camp Manito-Wish (YMCA) and later worked extensively for the National Outdoor Leadership School. He was a regular guide on the Main Fork of the Salmon River in Idaho and various rivers across Utah before transitioning to a career as a nurse practitioner in western Montana.

Stew regularly loads up his raft on the trailer and hits the wild and scenic waterways of the west with his wife and two young children.

CHARLES CARROLL

Charles first learned to kayak in high school and hasn’t looked back since. Shortly after graduating he moved to California and began what would be a long career of whitewater and river running.

After several years guiding on the Kern River, he expanded his experience as guide on the Tuolumne, Middle Fork and Main Salmon, Rogue, White Salmon and Tietan rivers. He worked several years as an instructor for the National Outdoor Leadership School where he lead river courses on the Green (UT), Copper (AK) and Noatak (AK) rivers.

Charles now runs rivers a bit closer to home with his wife and two children in the Pacific Northwest.

TOMAS AMODIO

Loves bacon and a raft with a diaper pail. He was first introduced to rafting on the Tuolumne and was hooked. He has guided on numerous Northern California rivers and instructed water based activities in the Western North America for National Outdoor Leadership School (AK, ID, MT, UT, BCS). He is the guy with the extensive costume bag, toy collection, and at home slushy machine.

Now he loves to get on the water, any water, with his girls, wife and dog. They can be found outside enjoying Central Oregon and Bend almost every weekend of the year.
